Wet Dust Collection Solutions: The RotoClone

June 30, 2016

For any industry where dust or combustible dust is a problem, a strong dust collection system is important for ensuring the safety of the work environment. This becomes more complex in situations with hot, sticky or other difficult to manage dusts, because you need specific solutions to handle them safely. The RotoClone collector is one of the best solutions to hot, moist gas streams, and sticky dusts, which standard dust collection systems cannot handle. The Rotoclone uses a specialized fan that provides airflow and wet separation of difficult to handle dusts.

RotoClone Models
The RotoClone is available in different models suitable for a variety of industries and solutions.

RotoClone® W
The RotoClone® W offers cost effective, high-efficiency wet dust collection by combining a dust collector with a centrifugal fan. The W model features a fine water film on the impeller blades, which allows it to capture the smallest dust particles. Because it does not require compressed air, filter cartridges, or fabric bags, the dust collection system is both cost and space efficient, allowing you to continue collecting dust without changing the bag or other downtime. The W is ideal for light loads such as granular dust and mist in the food and beverage, ceramics, coal, mining, pharmaceutical, mineral extraction, chemicals, rubber and plastic, pulp and paper, and other industries.

RotoClone® N
RotoClone® N offers a unique combination of high efficiency and low-maintenance dust collection. The system has no moving parts other than the impeller, but works using a combination of centrifugal force and mixing water and dust laden air using an airfoil impeller. As a result, the system intakes air and scrubs it of even the finest particles using water and the airfoil. The N can also be set to work at different efficiency levels based on the project requirements. Finally, the Type N RotoClone is assembled using heavy gauge hot rolled steel or stainless steel, with an optional coal-tar epoxy for working in corrosive environments. This makes it highly flexible, versatile, and ideal for wet dust collection in the metalworking industry.  The Type N RotoClone is available for use in normal or heavy-duty capacities.

RotoClone® LVN
The RotoClone® LVN is a similar system to the RotoClone® N with a few differences. The dust collection system is primarily designed for ventilation and dust collection of dust emitting machines with an operating air volume under 2,000 CFM. It is also capable of direct connection to dust sources such as booth enclosures, grinding tables, finishers, and other machinery, and when coupled with an optional downdraft bench, is suitable for use as an industrial work table. The system is available in a 1,000 CFM model or a 2,000 CFM model, and is designed to be energy and water efficient.
